Ayden's DC Blog

Heyo! Today I woke up slowly, got in the shower, put grease in my hair to become a greaser, and then left. I went downstairs and I missed breakfast, whoops! But it’s okay, I got McDonald’s later in the day. In the beginning, we went to the Arlington cemetery. I have to say it was quite interesting, we saw the graves of famous ear heroes, and also witness the changing of the guards at the tomb of the lost soldier. It really creeped me out of robotic they were. Then after we headed over to this giant mall, where we had lunch and hung out for 2 hours, eh I’m not a mall person. Then after we went to casa del washington, aka Mount Vernon. We saw all of Washington’s rooms and his supplies. In the backyard there was a beautiful view I must say. After we left and went to the fish market for dinner, I had a hamburger. We finished are food and started walking to the meet up point for the spooky ghost tour of Alexandria. We had this cool dude dressed in colonial clothes telling us scary tales about ghosts and stuff. We learned about this one place where they use to amputate body parts of wounded soldiers and throw their body parts outside. They say to this day soldiers for the union still roam the halls of that very building. Finally, we headed back to the hotel and here I am! I am really enjoying my time in Washington and enjoyging learning about America
