I really don't want to do this, everyone's at the pool and I haven't refilled my snacks. Here goes nothing.

AGENDA
breakfast @ hotel
Arlington National Memorial
Mall
Mount Vernon
Dinner @ fish market
Ghost tour

For breakfast we had to wake up at six thirty, but at four in LA bc of the time change. I had been planning in eating corn flakes and I did just that as soon as they were in my reach. Unfortunately there were only slim and 2 percent milk, which stumped me for a while. After some thinking I went w the 2 percent which didn't end up being so bad. I had to refill on my milk bc dry cereal is nasty. I also added a banana to my morning meal to keep myself healthy, and it was a good banana indeed.

At the Arlington we saw a lot on graves of former navy officers that died. The changing of the guards ceremony was done freakishly well w impeccable perfection. The guard was supposed to be watching the symbolic tombstone of the unknown soldiers who couldn't be identified/found after the war. There was a lot of military honoring, as one would expect, and a lot of respectful silence. John F Kennedy was buried there w some of his relatives too, and we saw the eternal flame next to his tombstone.

The time had come.FOOOOD. I was so hungry and could not wait to get my hands in some Chinese fast food- my favorite meal. Once we were released and set to roam the mall, I immediately made my way, along w all the other starved 8th graders, to the food court. Panda Express drew me to it like a magnet, and the long line didn't tempt me to leave. I could already see the mushroom chicken/ steamed rice combo in my bowl. I ate, and was left more than satisfied, as I alwase seem to feel after a good dose of Panda. There were oh so many racists w Trump hats it felt surreal. Seeing a person like that(who supports Trump) eat the same kind of food as me was strange, and made me reflect on the liberal bubble I live in.

Mount Vernon was dusty and the house seemed kind of unauthentically remodeled, but maybe it just felt weird knowing I was in George Washington's (slave)house/ plantation. We saw a movie of him later, and then witnessed the presence of his infamous dentures. They were gross. My feet were both numb after having feel asleep during the movie(my feet, not me fell asleep) and it was so hard to walk.I accidentally slapped a lady behind me while trying to regain my balance and I felt super bad. Upon seeing her Trmp hat plastered w his iconic slogan, I felt less bad, I'm not gonna lie.

The fish market was not in fact a market, but a resterant. Disappointed I have to say. I ordered a fish sandwich that came in the form of a burger, but w fish in stead of patty. It was...eh to be honest, but I was hungry so I ate it(just the fish, not the whole "sandwich"). On the bus I planned to much in my snacks anyway.

The tour was creepy but not really bc I don't believe in ghosts. Our guide told us of some people who died in places where later others said they saw strange things. That honestly sums up every story we were told. We saw Washington's other house that was said to host a lurking dead spirit. I was cold in my two thin layers of clothes so Jalen lent me her coat, which I civilly returned around a half hour later. It was oversized but fitted, and made me look like a wiered middle aged woman.

I went to the bathroom before Bob arrived to the rescue and brought us safely back to our cozy, awaited hotel rooms.Gosh, he's the best.
Good night.
