Ryan's DC Blog

It is the second day of adventuring in Washington DC, and it is fun. Today, we have already visited the Arlington cemetery and saw a very spectacular ceremony in change the honor guard. When we finished watching that, we then moved on to see where President JFK was buried. At his grave, we saw the eternal flame that will always be burning and will never go out. Then, we went back on the bus and drove to a very big mall. This mall must have been four stories and it had tons of shops.

Me and my friend got food and then started to explore the mall. We found a Vans store, and I decided to buy a new pair of Vans since my old ones had gotten too small. After I got my brand new shoes, we went down to where we were supposed to meet and leave. When we finally had everyone together, we got on the bus and left. When we got on the bus, the tour guide said that we were going to Mount Vernon; George Washington’s house. When we got there, it was very crowded because there had been many schools on field trips and they all wanted to see Mount Vernon. We got through the house and went to the modern part of the estate. After leaving Mount Vernon, we were all very tired and were happy to get back on the bus and rest.

We then drove to the Fish Market to get dinner, which was a good restaurant in Alexandria. I got a burger that pretty good. After eating, we went on a ghost tour. We had a man show us around and tells us some pretty creepy stories. After the ghost tour, we drove back to the hotel and since we got back so late it was already curfew so we had to go to bed.
