Hi! Hope you had fun and learned something in school. Washington has been so much fun, especially the bus rides where we all sleep on each other. Karla, Shosh and I woke up and were half dead this morning. We get less than six hours of sleep at night and people prank call our hotel rooms, repeatedly *ahem Ben Goodman, Ryan, and Jeremy.* This morning, we drove all the way from Silver Spring, to Arlington, Virginia. Every place is far from our inn, but that’s fine, because bus rides give you time to take naps and sit on people.
The first thing we did was go to the Arlington National Cemetary. There were 250,000 tombstones there! We watched the Wreath Ceremony for the fallen unknown soldiers. Here is a picture of the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.”
Next, we went to the Pentagram Mall for two hours. It was a nice mall, and people in Maryland are nice (for the most part). After that, we visited Mount Vermont and walked through George Washington’s home facing the lake. Here are pictures of the inside of the house.
There was this Washington Museum that we went to and watched a 4D movie about the war with Britain over the U.S, that Washington led and won. Did you know Washington died of a flu? That was fun, kind of. Oh! I forgot to mention THAT IT’S FREEZING. Well not freezing, but way too cold for people who live in Los Angeles, and only pack a hoodie.
Dinner time came, and we ate at a restaurant called The Fish Market, which really confused me, because, I thought it would we an actual fish market. It wasn’t, but I ate a good burger.
After that, we went to a private haunted neighborhood known as “Ghost Town.” We split in to groups and had a guide show us the creepy parts of the neighborhood. I don’t believe in ghosts but this ghost town was haunted as heck. We sat on a wall that was supposedly haunted but Alliana and Kamyjah refused. Now I have the heebie jeebies. Now, we’re on the way back to our hotel and Karla is sleeping on my lap. We are sitting on the back of this bus and almost every guy back here is playing Fortnite Mobile, and gosh. I have the phrases “find me the bandages” and “Ryan I have more points than you” permanently ringing in ears. Well, goodnight scholars, I’m taking a nap.
