Ben G.'s DC Blog

I woke up today at 6:45 AM to the alarm, only to realize that in LA time it was actually 3:45. That wasn’t fun. We all went downstairs for breakfast, and after that we got on the bus to start our tour of DC. It was absolutely freezing and I couldn’t feel my nose. We visited the White House, and a few people played the game of trying to guess which tourists were actually tourists and which were undercover Secret Service agents. I saw a few that were 100% Secret Service, so I think I did pretty well. After what seemed like an endless parade of monuments and museums, I was ready to go back to the hotel. However, we had to sit through several more before we could actually leave. Once we came back, we all went in the pool and swam around. Then we all headed back to our rooms, and we were told that our floor was making so much noise they were moving non-Emerson guests away from us. We finally went to bed at like 12:00, and that ended our first day at Washington DC.
