Zia's Second Blog
We walked into class, and wrote down the agenda.
AGENDA
BLOG corrections
Reader's Workshop
RJ check
Taking A Stand
HW RJ 2.2
TKAM p. 102-113
Ms. Nakada is talking about speech and debate, and the events that you can do. They are Declamation, POI, IMPROMPTU, Congress, and Duo. Now, Ms. Nakada is checking our reading journals while the rest of us do reader's workshop. We only need four more points until we reach ten, so I'm hoping I don't make any mistakes (which I probably will.)
Nothing is really happening, so I am going to read. In last night's reading, it becomes winter in Maycomb, which it never really is. Atticus wakes Scout up in the middle of the night because Miss Maudie's house is on fire. Atticus notices that Scout is covered in a blanket that she didn't have when she came out of the house. Jem tells Atticus about the knothole, the cement, and his mended pants.
I feel like this the first time in a while that we actually got to doing what the agenda says, because for the last two days we have just been having debates, or someone will bring up a subject and then we would just stay on that subject for the whole time.
Tonight we only have to read one chapter!
The bell rang, so bye.
