We started off by correcting Abril's blog, which was really good, and had a lot of puns. We then started to watch The Outsiders. The part we were on was when everyone is visiting Johnny, and he passes out. Pony and Cherry talk, and Pony asks if she wants to go she Johnny, but she said that she couldn't because he killed Bob.

Pony and the greasers walk around together having fun, and the rumble begins! Pony gets punched in the face, and everything turns into chaos. it starts to rain, making it more dramatic, along with the music. Pony and Dally get pulled over, and Dally tells Pony to act sick, and pretend like he fell off his motorcycle. The policeman belives him, and tells them to follow him. Johnny tells Pony to stay gold, and then he dies.


Pony looks through Gone with the Wind, and finds a letter written to him by Johnny. Pony, then starts to write, and it the first scene in the movie. We added to our English scores page in our English notebooks, and then the bell rings, and we are dismissed.

    🇸🇻 UPDATE #8:

    Was too lazy to do multiple updates today, so I'm just gonna do the eighth update with a huge wall of text.

    Woke up, had breakfast. Ham and cheese omelette, bowl of strawberries, bananas, and mangos, and passion fruit juice. Went over into La Libertad (closest town to where I am) and went through the streets. We got two baby chickens so some of the kids who go to our place after school can play with them. Named them John and George (guess where we got the names). They look so cute when they sleep.

    After that, we went to the pier which is just a really big fish market with every existing fish on the planet being sold there. Okay, not really. But they did have some stingrays. Got some shrimp there so the guys at the place don't have to get them in the stream. Had shrimp at this restaurant nearby, which was pretty good. Once we were done, we drove off with John and George back to the place.

    Had a sandwich for lunch, and after resting a bit, we went out into the ocean.

    Really bad timing.

    Got stuck in two really bad rip currents (if you don't know what those are, it's basically when the ocean pulls you away from the shore and out into the deep). Not only did I have the seemingly impossible task of going back to shore with the ocean), I also had to duck these huge waves that just hindered my progress. It's really scary, and each time it feels like you can't get out. Also had to avoid the part of shore that had rocks on the sea floor. I blame them; if it weren't for the rocks, I would have kept my feet on the sand and not be pulled away so easily. Managed to get out of both of them with a few scrapes and some blood from getting out of the rocks. But once I got out, it was almost like I couldn't walk properly, since I used so much of my energy trying to resist the ocean's pull and getting back to the beach.

    Now, here comes the evening. There was a frog on the porch of my room. Shooed him away.

    And here I am right now. Writing this update with the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks.

    Other than that, it was a good day. Gonna go to the capital tomorrow for some business stuff, and I don't know, go check out the volcano.

    More updates later.

    SIDE NOTES:

    1. Veronica, I know what you're trying to get me to say. They use it a lot in Chile. I'd say what it means to everyone else, but that would count as cursing.

    2. If you wanna get out of a rip current, do these:
    - Deal with the waves primarily, don't waste energy getting back to shore if you have a gazillion waves ahead.
    - Only try to get back to shore if you don't see any waves coming. That's basically a grace period.
    - If you can, bodysurf back. If you can't, plank with your arms forward before a wave breaks and let it take you away.
    - Keep your feet on the ground if you can and just try to walk back to shore. That lessens the ocean's pull.
    - STAY AWAY FROM ROCKS.
