The Outsiders: book v. movie

HW: RJ 9.3 20 MIN.

Elise is great. We just finished correcting Hannah's blog, which was great. Now we're watching The Outsiders movie. Darry just shoved Pony, and now he (Pony) and Johnny are running away. Every one seems pretty into the movie. The movie has pretty good sound. I can't say the same about the visuals though, since I'm typing.

OH NOOO, IT'S THE SOCS. They are in the park, and there's a lot of tension. NOOOOOOO. Now, they're drowning Pony. Here comes Johnny... Now, Bob is dead.

Yasin looks really concerned and into this film. He genuinely looks sad for Pony and Johnny. That's nice.

Now, Pony and Johnny are asking Dally, who is shirtless, for advice. Matt Dillon has a deep voice that is kinda unsettling, but it's ok. He has a nice chin, too.

Now, Pony and Johnny are on the train to Windrixville. There are rabbits in the church as well as owls. I don't understand how Pony has to dye AND cut his hair, but Johnny just has to cut like an inch of his hair. This is unfair. Chelsea has taken a lot of notes. Pony looks like one of those little girls from that one book, Little house on the Prairie or whatever it's called. Now they're trying to catch a rabbit. How sad.

There are some pretty shots in this movie. Nice film composition.

This director also directed The Godfather movies. What an icon.

Here comes Dally. He laughs funny. But he's so extra, I mean, we get it: you're a rebel. He also says "man" a lot. My neighbor also says "man" a lot.

Emmette has nice hair. Veronica is drinking water. Ben W. is feeling his face, or something.

Oh, God Pony, please just wipe the ketchup off your face. Now Johnny wants to turn himself in. Now there's a fire. Boy does Dally look frustrated. Why couldn't they just not be so heroic, am I right? Now a little girl bit Pony. This sure is heating up. Sorry. Group hug. The Curtis brothers reunite!!!!!!!!!!

I know I violated the only one exclamation point rule, but this is very emotional.

Steve is annoying. He also looks funny. Rob Lowe is shirtless every time. I guess Rob Lowe isn't ugly, but he's irrelevant next to Matt Dillon.

Getting some West Side Story vibes.

Randy is having a heart to heart to with Pony. Boy, does Randy have issues. Well, you know what they say,"things are rough all over."
