Mirae's First Blog

WARNING: This'll probably be bad, so be prepared.

Gee, thank you so much Jose for giving me this wonderful chance to write my first blog.
Well, might as well just get this over with since I have to do this whether I want to or not. I'll think carefully over the weekend on who I should choose for the next blog, but I think I'll enjoy doing that.

On that note, we started off our class (as always) by writing down the Agenda and H.W. in our binder reminders.

Writer's Workshop

HW Enjoy your weekend!

After we all wrote down the Agenda and H.W., the people that didn't do their STAR Tests, finished, and the rest of class started to read their Reading Journals in their groups. Then, the people that had good summaries of the chapter read theirs. Ms. Nakada's summary of Ch. 9 was: 3.3  Pony asks everyone why they fight. At the rumble, Darry & his old friend face-off. Dally & Pony race to the hospital and Johnny tells Pony to stay gold. Then, he dies and Dally runs off.

Then, we started talking about what happened in the chapter. We talked about why Pony asked the others why they fight and we also talked about what Johnny could've meant when he said to Ponyboy, "Stay gold" right before he died.

We then transitioned into Writer's Workshop, and Ms. Nakada asked everyone if they wanted to change the topic of what they were going to be writing about. A lot of people laughed when Conlan said he'd change his topic to Overwatch, but Ms. Nakada said she'd look forward to it. Everyone then started to continue working on their assignments, and we worked on that for about 20 minutes. It was amazing that our class was actually quiet during the time we had to do our work which is actually quite surprising since our class is known for being one of the loudest classes. And then of course people started talking again, which meant that mostly everyone had finished. Ms. Nakada asked people if they wanted to share what they had wrote and a lot of people started to nominate Ryan as tribute, which ended with him having to share his paper in the office chair in the front of the classroom. His title was "Being a Hanzo Main" (?? I don't know) and everyone made sarcastic sounds and laughed during his presentation. Then, Ben (G.) read Ben W.'s and although everyone was quiet, almost everyone laughed on the last few words. No one else volunteered, and Ms. Nakada said she would continue it on Tuesday... which didn't really seem to make anyone happy.

Lastly, she read her own as everyone stayed quiet, and in the end, everyone clapped. She talked about the office chair and said that you can say serious things (*cough* Ryan *cough*) in which he said that it was, in fact,  a serious topic. Sure, ok.

Right after, the bell rang (thankfully, seeing that I don't need to type anymore than this) and the class ended.
