Fourth period began and Bruno so nicely chose me to do the blog, so here we are. We did Bruno's blog corrections, and then Ms. Nakada handed out envelopes with important dates and the DC trip, yay! Ms. Nakada talked about a book called Mañana Iguana ( I think that's the name). We discussed The Outsiders, and how the author does such a great job making you want to turn the page and read on. We went over the chapter 3 summary and read them to our partners. The summary of chapter 3; they leave the movies to take the girls home. Pony and the girls talk about life. The blue Mustang comes and the girls leave with them. Pony and Johnny fall asleep in a lot. Pony gets home late and Darry hits him. People who had really good summaries read them out loud. We discuss which lines reveal how Cherry cares way to much about her reputation, and how she is having an identity crisis.  

After, we have reader's workshop where you can read silently or take AR tests. Ms. Nakada comes around checking our reading journals. Today is a short day, so there isn't much to write about. Ms. Nakada explains her way of grading the reading journal. The bell rings, and Ms. Nakada dismisses us.
