p.114-130

The summary for yesterday 3.1 At the hospital, we hear Dally will be fine. At home, Ponyboy is exhausted. The next day, the gang stops by with the the newspaper. Two-Bit stays with Pony, and they run into Randy, a Soc. He and Pony talk about what happened.* Sandy moved.

We talk about The Outsiders and read aloud the journal summaries. We learn that Sandy is pregnant. Then, we start our portfolios in our journals. In our journals, we number assignments: course expectations, first day letter, summer passport, summer book  project, RJ 1.1-1.2, RJ 2.1-2.4, Binder check #1.

Students passed back our book reports, and Ms. Nakada showed Maddie's, saying she was creative because she printed out an instagram page, and did original art work. We had to sum up all the grades we got back out of one hundred-twenty points. The bell rings and we were dismissed.

I told him not to put me in the blog. But, he did and now I'm picked. Thanks, Bridget! This blog is going to be an actual blog and not going to go off topic, like the others usually are. This blog is strictly just for the things we do as a class. So, right now, we are correcting Bridget's blog which is filled with errors. Sort of like mine will be. Now, we are taking out our CAASPP sample questions and our poem packets to answer the questions within the sample. I'm guessing the class will be quiet while filling it out the essay questions we have. This will be painful for me... Should poetry be continued to be taught at schools? I said no. What do you think? Happy second to last week of school! AGENDA blog corrections Last Q&Q H.S./ college planning Letter to your future self HW: Field day trip slips due tomorrow! We corrected Mirae's blog, which had a couple of mistakes. I will try my best to make no mistakes, but, if we're being realistic, how high of a chance is it that we'll fit in another pizza party before school is over? We are doing are last question and quote of the school year. Our quote is: "Self-praise is for losers. Be a winner. Stand for something. Always have class and be humble." - John Madden Chaos ensues. Oh no. I had a full blog, but the rest got deleted. I will do my best to reconstruct what I wrote today.
